But behind every map made lies a ton of influences(architecture/ layout wise), so what has inspired YOU in the past to design the way your maps look/play now? The goal of this thread is to have mappers sharing their different sources of inspiration and hopefully creating more ideas for everyone. Here, I'll start: For a deathrun map I made awhile ago( dr_tf2_museum) I based several parts of the map off of real locations. This room was based off of the rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. This area was influenced by the Van Gogh museum, also in Amsterdam.
