Map sizes OVER 800,000!

    I just Final compiled my vmf file, it's little lower than 30mb
    but when i zip with the material files (material file sizes are 400mb) it increases 860mb
    i don't know it's usual or mines are special

    I think you are packing whole content pack accidentally to your bsp. Use Compilepal and see if you still get huge bsp size

    I think you might be accidentally packing your entire /tf/ folder, including every custom asset you've ever downloaded and possibly also all your other maps. The whole Frontline pack is only 300 some MB.

    Also, there shouldn't be any additional files in the zip file if you've packed the map properly. They are all in the erm... embedded zipfile inside the bsp file.

    Compile pal literally does all the work for you. I use to hesitate and use VIDE instead, but then I eventually tried it. I'm a changed man...
