Making Double D's house Scene Map: problem with cutting (shaping)

I'm not too good in shaping, I just want to cut this triangle part to make a room. Any ideas how I can do that?

If you use the Clipping tool in the 2D views with the main roof selected, you should be able to cut into the roof using the angles of the triangular roof section as a guide

You'll want to use the Clipping Tool (The tool icon with a block with a yellow, diagonal face). It should be able to easily cut a triangular shape into the roof.

May I ask, is your grid size tiny or is your grid disabled?

Be careful with off-grid geometry! Hammer does not like it very much and vertices will have floating point loss. Upon loading the map, they will have shifted away from each other. It might cause invalid solids or other errors, and in general it's just a bad thing having off-grid geoemetry.
