Is it possible and if so, how?
It's quite simple, actually. All you need is a regular ctf map, plus 11 powerup entities(just tf_powerup if I'm not mistaken) and a point_servercommand with the command set to "tf_powerup_mode 1" that's executed OnMapLoad.
huh, well; I think I may have fun with that for practice and future projects
If only there was a way to decompile and look!
BTW, because the maps use a point_servercommand, we can't test them in gamedays or imps unless you have a staff member willing and able to adjust cvars. Email Valve to make Mannpower a switch like Medieval or Arena imo.
thanks for the warning, anyway; I'm kind of just taking break from my standard game library and system, good to play a rts game like star craft on max difficulty. gotta admit, the strategy used in that ironically could give ideas into hammer set ups and rigs. I have a neat idea i'm gonna still be working on but in other news.
Thanks for letting us know.
my lad, lotv is only a week away
After looking into it, I threw this together: http://tf2maps.net/resources/mannpower-prefab.935/
It was easier than I expected. That server command stuff seems to trip up a lot of people.
Mannpower isn't just a single cvar and some powerup entities. It's two cvars. One for the powerups and one for the grapplinghook.
