Long compile times

Dude, you're not supposed to be disabling any of them even for testing - how do you see your lighting that way? All 3 of VBSP, VVIS, VRAD serve each its own purpose and must all be run in order for the map to function properly.
At the moment, I am not really properly compiling. The only lighting I have is the default one generated by the skybox, so nothing looked bad or anything

Yeah, it's a good idea to run partial compiles when you need to diagnose something. In fact, any time you make substantial changes to geometry, you should do a VBSP-only compile to check for leaks, unless you're using CompilePal and have it set to automatically abort if it finds one.
