Lighting and displacements not getting along

So I'm trying to make an open grave. I've got the displacement work down pat, but when I run the map with VRAD, this happens:

Any way I can stop this from happening?

Check your lightmaps, and encase the displacements with toolsblack or nodraw brushes

Basically what seems to be happening is that light being cast underneath the displacement is leaking inside.
