Light environment problem and graphic glitch

    Resupply locker not showing

    Hello

    Im pretty new at mapping and this is the first map that i made for TF2.
    There are 2 problems I have right now the first one is a wierd graphic glitch which is showing when I look at the sky. The other one is that i have no environment light although i set the light_env just like in the tutorial...
    Another thing is that when i type in buildcubemaps in the console it says mod iis not in a subdirectory of the game or something like that... :confused1:

    Edit:

    Ive made a resupply locker in the spawn room but the model isnt showing ingame. Although when I pass the location where its supposed to be I can hear it being activated... :blink:

    Another thing is that Nodraw and PlayerClip textures sometimes tend to make walls (with other textures behind them) transparent. :001_huh:

    Any ideas?

    INTERLOPERS INTERLOPERS INTERLOPERS!!!! I say it every time! every single time!

    Post your compile log though this - http://www.interlopers.net/index.php?page=errors

    IT TELLS YOU A BIG LIST OF ERRORS AND FIXES (if any)
    (incidentally you have quite a few)

    This link is plastered ALL over the forum, every time I say it I feel like I'm wasting my time because no one new finds it and uses it :'(

    Edit: am I clear enough? I wan't never to see a compile log that has errors that come up from interlopers again! (this is not a rant at you, dont worry, this is a general rant about peoples dependancy on spoon feeding ;) )

    Static prop models/props_foliage/tree02.mdl outside the map (-1391.00, 864.00, 124.00)

    thats the main 1 that is causing the visual error i think :)

    Thanks for the help. Ive sealed a lot of leaks before that, but that tree was actually just inside a nodraw wall which sealed of the map.
    Anyway that error_checker.exe is really neat. ^^
    My problem with the env light was that Ive chosen the wrong sky_texture so there was no sky >.<

    Yep this sounds like a leak. Those "prop outside the map #, #, #" are usually caused by props that aren't sitting inside world geometry. I had this issue a while back with some props on displacement brushes, before I knew you had to seal those in with a nodraw brush beneath (or outside) of them.

    I have another problem...I have placed some prop dynamic resupply lockers inside the spawnrooms, but they dont show up. Although i can hear them activating when i move near the spot where they are supposed to be.
    So its just that i cant see the resupply locker model. :huh:
