    cp_5latac - A simple, symetrical 5 cp map set in the middle of nowhere.

    Welcome to my 5th map! As a celebration, I decided it was finally time to upload my creation to the interweb. This map has a few flaws, however I have been picking up techniques and knowledge over the years on improving. I have used new techniques (to me) such as;
    -3d skybox (yay)
    -nodraw on out-of-bounds
    -alpha blending
    -proper use of displacements
    -non power 4 displacements
    -health and ammo in appropriate locations
    -lighting
    and more!
    I am hoping for some constructive criticism, so see you in alpha 2!

    (side note, I have tested with bots, and managed to get a stalemate, so good balance!)

    Alright, I ran the map and the brush work is actually really good! The one problem is that even with the rocks, it's very flat, making it a sniper shooting range. I would also throw in a mid healthpack somewhere, as to balance out fighting. Besides that, great job my dude! I can't wait to see what you do with this map!

    Thank you! Honestly, I thought the brush work was kinda bad, but guess not. There is a medium health pack and full ammo, however it is too far away, and I will try to get so more in in good spots whilst not making too many. It is quite flat, and I think I can help address this, and make it more fun for soldiers and demos by adding second stories on the side buildings, also making them have more purpose. In regards to snipers, I know I've got to do something about them, so ill probably toss around the points' alignments to see what sticks. Gotta keep in consideration not making snipers useless though.

    -Made sniper sightlines less OP
    -Added barricade (sightline blocker)
    -Added second story to side buildings
    -Tweaked health-kit and ammo placement
    -Added engineer spot on building
    -Removed ability building on top of rocks
    -Added a bunch of textures
    -Better aligned displacements
    -Added skybox fog
    -Expanded skybox
    -Rotated middle point
    -Fixed stair clipping
    -Added some 3d grass to give more depth

    Alpha 2! Hooray!
    I have taken constructive criticism, and here is the result. Still quite flat, but I plan in future to add underground tunnels which would be accessed either through the sniper areas, or the side buildings, or both! I also plan to add some water down there, so i guess pyroshark is viable. The tunnels aren't without reward though. (Incase you misread, THE TUNNELS AREN'T HERE YET!!!)
