    Koth_Generic - My first ever map created for the 72hr TF2Jam.

    My first map I created for TF2MAPS' Summer 2016 72hr TF2Jam.

    Koth_Generic is a simple koth map that has many routes and paths that all lead to the control point which gives the player many ways to flank their enemies and take control of the point.

    Updated to version A3:
    -Raised the control point
    -Added more ramps leading to the point
    -Shortened paths to side rooms further
    -Actually fixed spawn times
    -Fixed some nasty sniper sight lines
    -Added nodraw to unseen faces of the map
    -Lowered roofs in some tunnels
    -Updated sliding doors to look better
    -Added, removed, and adjusted some signs
    -Removed my sanity, soul, and will too live
    -Cleaned up visleafs
    -Changed lighting slightly

    Hello Charizard, I like how your map looks so far; here are some pros and cons I noticed while reviewing your map:

    Pros:
    • Great sense of scaling
    • Excellent vertical game play
    Cons:
    • Difficult to tell where the point is (try adding arrows to direct the player to the point)
    • Base colors, while playing it was hard to tell what side of the map belonged to my team.
    Also, you missed a no-draw first hallway when you get out of the water:

    Thank you for the feedback!

    Being my first map, it was originally over scaled but over time I tried to shrink the map and adjust the vertical height of the point and surrounding paths. Nice to hear that I've got it right this time.

    -Started to detail spawnrooms
    -Updated some signs
    -Lowered health pack size in sewer
    -Fixed some sniper sightlines
    -Updated skybox texture and lighting
    -Better lighting
    -Colored each side to easily distinguish teams
