Isn't brickyard a passtime map?
It is but I created it into a koth version.
so basically all you did was removed the pass time logic and stuff and added koth logic and stuff into it
Yes, why would I make any unnecessary changes? It would be like changing a arean map into a koth map and reworking the entire map.
i don't want to offend you in any way but i feel like just deleting the pass time stuff and adding the koth stuff isn't something you put much effort in. like it doesn't take much time and it a pretty easy process
Well I was rushing to have this into the 72 hour contest.
okay then. but what about koth_mannworks which basically also didn't put much effort in and was kinda simple to create. heck it isn't even the same on both sides. it would have been better if you put effort in making both sides the same
Well I just left that map to roat because I am working on a 3 cp version.

Yes a 3cp version of Mannworks will be coming out.
Yeah, I like to reuse valve made maps because if I make my own from scratch nobody will play it.

Yeah. Hopefully you enjoy the map.
With that attitude, sure. But if you take the time to make your own layouts anyway, you'll naturally get better and create more enjoyable layouts over time. Doing nothing but repurposing official maps into other gamemodes won't teach you nearly as much as doing your own projects.
Well, if you keep making your maps with this in mind, you'll never make a good map.
What it does is having people play my map without just thowing the map into the trash.
Looked what happened when I tried to create new original maps people just skip it.
