I had this idea in my head for a little while, and I'm wondering what you all think of it?
RED would be the Mercs, on foot, and presumingly defending something.
BLU would all be in Karts, with a goal of going fast and reaching some sort of destination.
Since Kart racers are basically defenseless and the Mercs have all the weapons to their arsenal, the map design would be a difficult balance. Engie-spam can easily wreck the BLUs in if the map does not accommodate this, and classes like the Spy and Medic may find themselves to not be as useful as they should. Still, the contrast to the two playstyles of the teams can lead to a creative map idea. If we can make this work, it'll be certainly cool.
Another concept would be a survival scenario, where the Karts are trying to complete some looped course a certain amount of laps while the Mercs are actively trying to kill them, whether it's by setting up road blocks with sentries or by just shooting at them. Mercs would have prep time, while Karts would have powerups and multiple routes to traverse.
