Ok, to people who says that this map is not a copy of Byre look at this:
Going back to the original Ixem which followed a similar layout with similar spawn buildings to this map. It played differently to Byre due to the gameplay elements you added such as the river and multiple heights for players to jump on. (Other people said this better than me in the original thread.)
But now the map feels and even looks like a watered down version of Byre's layout. If you overlapped the images above of "Not Byre" and "Byre" everything would be in the same place with some minor differences in the spawn area. I think the people above me said it perfectly, you can have maps with similar layouts/top down views but can play differently. But in this case where everything is the same size with no separate defining features is what makes this map in my opinion: A watered down version of Byre's layout with no unique gameplay elements or spaces until the map becomes not a brush.
(or maybe the name is ironic idk)
Have you ever compared Snake water to Badlands, or Lakeside to Viaduct? Or Doublecross to 2fort? Such similarities are very common, and ixem does more than those to make itself different.
The original ixem and ixem 2 (the version before this one) were both very cool and unique, especially ixem 2 since the mirrored symmetry on a 2cp arena map hasn't been done before. I think you should continue developing those. They were totally different, and totally awesome.
Ok, i will do this: im gonna treat both maps like maps complety differents the only thing in common they have will be the gamemode and the theme...
But Ixem is exactly like byre, start in the same place, have in front the spawn a construction, the CP are in the same places even the size is basically the same!
All of those things apply to all three of Lakeside, Viaduct, and Highpass - and nobody complains about them!
Sorry to say this but... i dont like continue this map cause its a clon of byre, the layout is the same with the same proportions if i put my map farm theme then looks like a new version of byre.
...then move on to a new map. KotH, Payload, 5CP, 3CP, A/D, CTF, the whole lot is still available (and always has been).
No! NEVER! I will do that gamemodes when i have to do it but now im with a 2CP Arena!
You can make new gamemodes any time you'd like.
I believe using Byre's layout is perfectly fine because it works better for the map geometry preventing gameplay issues. And I believe this works well as a good Arena map for a start.
And if you think this map copy's Byre, talk to the maker of Byre and see their opinions.

Did you really make your maps layout identical to Byre? Sure, it was close before, but It was different than Byre. Now it's exactly the same, and now it's bad!
Before, it was changing it up from what Byre did, with different heights and the river. Now, it's just... Byre. And in my opinion, Byre is just crap.
Ixem was good. This map was good. But now, since you've made it Byre, it's bad.
Finally you see that it was a clone of byre!
You know this is just copying other's content. Just saying.
Go back to the regular Ixem.
