Item schema mismatch?

Has anyone else been experiencing this for ages now? I fire up the game, open the console, and in among the many messages there's this thing:

**WARNING** Item schema mismatch after update!
GC told us to expect DA527F17, we got 92FA7DE9

I don't know when it started, but I know it's been around for like a year or more. And I can't help but feel like whatever this is shouldn't have been happening for that long and might be connected to some other problems I've been having.

Yeah, been happening to me for ages, too. No idea what it is, haven't really had any loadout issues or other problems (beyond the usual when the servers are down).

It started happening with Gun Mettle I think.
