Ingame cubemaps error (return of the checkers!)

    Edit 1: The texture was nature/ground_05.

    So I load the map w/ light_environment and a few light_spots. Most of the ground is checkers, though not purple; http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg204/Immortal-D/tf2error3.jpg http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg204/Immortal-D/tf2error4.jpg

    So I type buildcubemaps in the console, and get presented w/ this error;

    buildcubemaps
    Current mod isn't in a subdirectory of "game"!
    bounce: 1/1 sample: 1/4
    bounce: 1/1 sample: 2/4
    bounce: 1/1 sample: 3/4
    bounce: 1/1 sample: 4/4
    *** Error: Skybox vtf files for sky_gravel_01 weren't compiled with the same size texture and/or same flags!
    Can't load skybox file sky_gravel_01 to build the default cubemap!

    Various error searching on the web hasn't turned up any results. Any help on this is much appreciated, as it's the last thing standing between me and a beta release.

    Ya know, I searched Google and the Valve wiki, but not our site. My bad :(

    The texture isn't used by valve but contains an entry for a cubemap reflection. You can copy the vmt and delete this entry out of your copy.

    What happened after you ran buildcubemaps? Was the purples checkers still there after you reloaded the map?

    The checkers were not purple, and yes they were still present. Just using a different texture fixed the problem. Which is a real shame cuz that one fit perfectly. The texture was nature/ground_05 btw.

    oh yeah, some of the texture don't work with displacements, don't have something or other, i got that too, shame, because it was a good texture to use as well.
