An indoor koth map by a complete newbie

    Indust - An indoor koth map as my first project

    So after watching UEAKCrash's tutorial videos (which are so incredibly helpful and useful by the way!) I caved and made a koth map, and now I'm posting it up to hopefully learn how much I did that was right / wrong (because yay learning!)
    I came up with an indoor area with a central point that has a roof and two towers on either side, although looking back on it now I'm not entirely sure why I stuck with the indoors theme but I still quite like it.
    I'm mostly just looking for lots of feedback since I don't really expect this to be "good"; despite my friends really enjoying it I'm sure I could improve on so much.
    Also, please tell me if the cubemaps are borked, they seem to love being incredibly finnicky on my end.

    Thanks to whoever was in the EU gameday today. I didn't get a whole lot of feedback, so there weren't many layout changes, but I did get some stuff accomplished:

    • Redistributed health and ammo:
      • Above the point from medium to small
      • To the side of the point (below the lights) from small to medium, jump to reach it reduced
      • In vents from small to full (might encourage giving up the high ground of the point? Might change to medium if it's too much)
    • Sightline blocking props moved a tad further away from spawn
    • Textures in vent moved to make a little more sense
    • Removed clipping from ceiling lights (not the ones under the tunnel)

    Finally got around to texturing this dang thing! In terms of layout not a whole lot has changed, but I'm happy with where it sits currently (will upload screens in a bit)

    • Removed (hopefully) all dev textures
    • Lowered the ceiling
    • Added some signs to show where to go
    • Changed the health in vents to a medium pack
