So a while ago I was messing around with TF2 mate (http://clugu.com/tf2mate/) and was using some of their configs in order improve my fps. Now I have a much better computer and I am in need of a steamapps/common/Team Fortress 2/tf/cfg that has not used a TF2 mate config. (I was stupid and did not copy my original cfg folder before using TF2 mate.) Thank you and any help is appreciated

(Also I don't know where to post this thread so admins can do whatever)

Disable Steam Cloud syncing (Preferences -> Cloud), delete your cfg folder, then launch TF2. It should make a new cfg. If not, rename your /tf folder to force it to create a whole new /tf directory.

Ok, thanks! Will other custom content will be removed too, like ABS's resource library and any other custom content packs?

Nothing will be removed. Just move whatever custom content you have over to your new /tf folder.

Don't use the base tf folder for your custom configs. Put them in the custom folder, so you can just remove them as needed.
