I'm a little confused about func_rotating

    I read everywhere that func_rotating doesn't work in TF2, but I was able to create a working func_rotating and attach point_spotlights to it to have search lights on my nighttime map...
    So what's the deal?

    AFAIK the clouds in 2fort that are parented to a/are a func_rotating do not actually move.

    I have experimented and have found that point_spotlight when parented to a func_rotating will rotate, but it will use its own origin as the pivot point, and will not rotate around the func_rotating's origin. A func_brush and a prop_dynamic did not rotate at all.

    I think you are best to stick with something simpler like func_door_rotating. If I'm not mistaken, func_rotating is a bit like func_movelinear in that it uses more network traffic, but I do not know if that's true.
