    Icecap - Blow up RED's TNT supply in a ski course.

    You know how first maps are generally bad? This one takes the cake.

    Icecap is a single-stage payload map set in a ski resort. The goal is to blow up RED's TNT supply - and cause an avalanche.

    Immediate feedback is not required (stuff like broken RRVIS, respawns, displacements, etc...) but would be nice before I playtest the map.

    Now, I've reviewed the feedback, and here's what I've done so far:

    For starters, the map is now a nighttime map! This should hopefully explain why there are no skiers, and make sure that the snow isn't glowing like radioactive waste (which is basically this map, anyways).

    Second thing - I have changed the map so that there is a longer route to B - it's not much, but I guess it's progress.

    I have also moved RED spawn to the left instead of to the right of the silo. Might add a flank into that replacement building, I dunno.

    Finally, I removed a building to open a path into a new building. Not much of a flank, but again, it's progress, and my first map.

    Any advice? Please leave some!

    I regret to inform you that this map is alive and well.

    • Map no longer looks like toxic waste, but it sure will play that way!
    • Moved RED's first spawn back.
    • Added BLU high ground at second.
    • Rebuilt a set of "Hospitals" near the second point.
    • Completely redid the last point - it is no longer a dinky little mountaintop silo.

    Sorry for the problem with cp_coldmill in the IMP.

    - Redid BLU spawn and reoriented it.
    - Added another pït
    - Played a bit with the lighting again.
    - Added more rocks

    - Clipped the railings
    - Moved points around a bit

    Screenies outdated, but it doesn't really matter, since not much changed.
