I want to make a lightbeam coming from my lights, but the spotlight entity is too resource intensive. Is thier a way to do it with a sprite entity?

use point_spotlight, make sure the "effect only" flag is on. If that's on then it won't use the dynamic light as well, which lags up the game a lot.

There are a few sprites in the GCF that are spotlights, but the point_spotlight entity looks better in game anyway.

Yea i worked with it last night and it doesnt seem to affect my performance any and it adds that little touch my maps lighting was missing.
