How to make Black-colored particles?

I want to put black-colored custom particles in my map, but there's one problem:

Black appears transparent in particles

Any other color works, a color fade from black to another color makes the particle to appear to transition from transparent color to that color(and vise versa)

So... how do I make black-colored particles?

I'm not sure if this will be of any help, but this might be what you are looking for particles:

It makes black particles actually show, though I have no idea how particles work so I'm not sure if it will help
