How to get rid of this weird grid that appears when I resize a brush?

There's still a whole bunch of things I'm not familiar with in the Hammer editor yet, despite using it for ages (I just recently discovered the magic of Ctrl + Shift + C).

Somehow, this weird shit started happening where every time I modify the size of a brush in a 2D viewport, the 3D viewport shows this grid floating around as I resize the brush:

I zoomed in a bit and got a better screenshot as I held down the mouse button and dragged a brush.

Did I hit a key bind or something? I don't remember enabling this annoying crap.

It's in the top left of the screen. Second button from the left that has a small grid and says 3D.

It's a feature to help you resize objects in 3D space rather than just 2D space. The shortcut for it is X, which you might've pressed by accident instead of Z (which is used for 3D camera movement)

Ah yes, that would explain it. I did hit X a number of times accidentally.
