How to angle fence props with an angled brush

I made a cylinder and I'd like to place some railing props all around it

However, I don't have any idea on how to make their angle correct so they fit in

How many sides does the cylinder have, look that up first, then align one side of the cylinder with the grid, so you can line up the fence. Finally you can just rotate it by an addition of the angle. So if you have a 6 sided cylinder you would align one fence with one side, then assuming the original fence has an angle of 0, you would make the next fence 120 degrees, then put the ends beside or inside eacother. There may be a better way to do this, but this works well enough.
