So I've been working on this koth map for about a day, and I placed an entity figure and noticed the comparable size between the engineer (model of the entity) and my map. Is there a simple way that I can easily resize my map proportionally?

(Also keep due in mind that I started mapping recently, so try to keep the terms simple) (Maybe a step-by-step process as well? Thanks.)

    Two ways:

    1) Select everything and press Ctrl+M, then scale it down numerically.

    2) Use vertex edit to manually resize everything to the size you want it to be.

The first method is faster, but I would strongly recommend the second. Scaling everything down proportionally is "dumb" in that it won't try to keep thicknesses consistent or keep brushes on the grid, and you'll have a really hard time adjusting or adding anything to the map that lines up nicely with anything.

Tip: You can select large amounts of vertexes at once by drawing a rectangle around them in a 2d view and pressing enter (or enabling :autoselect: in which case it selects automatically). I use this method constantly for resizing things, whether that be buildings or the entire map (although moving an entire brush via vertex edit will not keep the texture locked on it like you might want when adjusting large portions of the map).

Should I scale my map down first or should I finish the map and then scale it down? (Does not include props or entities)

Scale it down first. Finishing it and then scaling would leave a lot more work for you to do.

Thanks guys so much! I was able to scale down my map to quite a regular size. Hopefully in the future I can use this for other maps too. Appreciate it! :)
