How do I make my blocks increase in a established number?

So I´ve just started playing around hammer, and I´ve been told this is a great community, and that I can ask and people would help me! btw sorry if this is a really noob-y question

So I don´t know what I did but by blocks went from increasing in grids to a variable number, and not in 128, 512 and so on

Under the "Map" menu at the top left, make sure "Snap to grid" has a checkmark next to it. If it doesn't, select that option.

You could also use the Shift->W hotkey that toggles snapping to grid.
