I recommend hammer.exe.
We need a lot more specifics if we're going to help you, do you know the basics of Hammer? Have you mapped for other TF2 gamemodes? Are you having trouble with layout or entities or popfiles? This kind of information is crucial for us to be able to assist you.
i know how to use hammer i have maps for cs go and gmod i need help with setting up the gamemode and the entities also i had a look for an example map for this but i the only one i found did not work it would not spawn the bots
Mann vs Machine maps won't spawn any robots unless you have generated a nav mesh. Load up mvm_example in TF2 and type "sv_cheats 1; nav_generate" in console, that should fix the bots not spawning.
To set up the entities for Mann vs Machine you can look at mvm_example in Hammer, or check out our Decompiled Valve Maps Thread and you can look at the entities from an official map.
If you have any more troubles with specific parts of the entities after looking at the examples, we're always willing to answer questions.
i did what you told me to do in console but that still don't spawn it just has wave o at the top and i dont have any cash
also i got the map of gamebanana so i dont think it is the real l valve one
How about you compile the valve one?

.bsp and .nav go in tf/maps
.pop goes in tf/scripts/population

The official distribution of the example map comes with a nav mesh prebuilt.
All i have is a .vmf and i have no idea how it got there. So yeah.
That stuff has been uploaded in the downloads section, except for the NAV. The Source-SDK includes all.
