Basically I am modeling a large box. I want this box to be hollow in the middle so that players are free to move around. I modeled a hollow box for my collision model, but when I compile the model, there is no hollow space in the middle. Any ideas?

Simply make the "Large Box" in hammer with blocks.

Collision models have to be convex, like hammer brushes. Did you construct your hollow collision box out of 6 separate objects, or as a single mesh?

For this type of thing, make the model without collisions. Then in Hammer, block out the collisions with player clips and block bullets

Thanks everyone. I didn't want to use brushes because this box is probably going to be moving around. Going back to do smoothing groups (thanks shmitz).
