A new payload map for Team Fortress 2. High Stakes sees BLU escort a bomb cart over a high canyon, and ascend to where RED's luxury casino—and its hoard of cash—is situated.

Known issues:

  • Players can get stuck when exiting doors slowly.
  • Announcer keeps warning about the control point being captured.
  • Red team shortcut is not obvious enough initially or when it becomes locked.
  • Blue team takes fall damage from forward spawn.
  • Numerous lighting and texture issues--low priority right now.

It's hard to see, but there is a bridge that extends about halfway alongside, i think.
There is. BLU have a covered walkway that takes them halfway across the bridge in full cover (although the payload has to go the whole length of the bridge). Once you're halfway across, it's a medium-range encounter with the enemies on the opposite side.

In addition, there is a wide ledge under the RED end of the bridge, so if BLU team jumps off/gets knocked off the bridge near the RED side, they will survive and be able to flank the RED team a little.

I honestly don't know if this bridge will actually work, but I have tried to ensure it has a chance of working. :)
