Hi everyone.

I got into TF2 just recently, and I'm thoroughly enjoying everything but the map selection, so I joined this site via Team Fortress 2's website, when I saw the swamp map.

Since I'm not sure where I'd put this otherwise, so I figured I'd just put it in my opening post. XD I've got a problem installing the swamp pack. I downloaded it and I went to install, but when it started, I got this error:

"Error opening file for writing:
\team fortress 2\tf\maps\yourswampmap_particles.txt"

I ignored it, just to see what would happen, and as you probably figured, it came up with the same error.

I'm installing it to my desktop (C:\Users\Dan\Desktop\sourcesdk_content\tf\mapsrc), but it also did the same thing when I tried saving it to the TF2 maps folder.

Welcome. I'm trying to track down how to fix this error, if you could PM me on steam it would be greatly appreciated so I can get some info and troubleshoot some things.

edit: nevermind. If you don't have the SDK installed yet that would be a problem. But contact me if you still have the issue after you install and run the SDK.

After you are done with your project you can upload it here or you can use a very useful program that a lot of other mappers use called Dropbox.
