hey everyone i'm todd!! i want to learn how to make maps and get one in the game someday
Hey Todd, welcome to TF2Maps, we hope you enjoy your stay. The cafe is down the hall, second door on your right. We serve free breakfast in the mornings, from 6 am to 11 am. Biscuits are on Tuesdays!
Make sure to join the TF2Mappers Steam Group ( http://steamcommunity.com/groups/TF2Mappers ), and hang around in the group chat with all of the other cool kids. You can also get notified about all the activities sent out by the group, usually announcing imps (impromptu map test sessions, you can submit your maps to the bot in the group chat), gamedays (scheduled map test sessions, you can submit your maps to a gameday thread when you see one), and other fun events. Our servers have a cool feedback plugin, where during these test sessions, people can leave feedback by using commands in the game chat, and demos are automatically recorded, meaning you can watch and rewatch the gameplay of your map to see how it played. All of that can be found here: http://feedback.tf2maps.net/ (you can also find it at the top of the site, labeled "Feedback").
I really hope this helps you get thing started around here. We are excited to see what you make! Have fun!
Secretly, just between two of us he seems to have a template of that message just varying it from time to time.
The two of you and everyone else who has a computer.
Heck, you also need electricity and internet and most likely to be aware of where you're going to.
Hello and welcome on TF2maps.net
I actually write it each time, no copy and pastes or any templates. Can you please stop assuming the worst of me whenever I try to do something around here? Its really starting to get on my nerves :/
even if it was copied, it's still helpful so thanks a bunch, nick!
Both times i was joking :O both times they weren't supposed to be taken with any seriousness.
I'm not assuming worse, I'm just making jokes. If you consider them offensive, well... I will stop.
Ah, the thing i forgot is to say is welcome to Todd but he does not seem to lack greetings. I will say something more useful: no need to post each time you want to thank someone, if you consider a post useful or funny. At the right bottom there are buttons for uprates. Pick one of them instead. It keeps forum a bunch cleaner, displays ratings received in the post and counts all member's received ratings ever. Use it.
Ah, and if you want to mention a user so he knows he is mentioned and so it is a fast link to their profile, there is a way to do so. Like that: @toddball. BB code for it is USER with an argument of their unuque ID. The site editor helps you to type user's name after a @ and first 3 symbols.
Separate names with a comma.
