Help with transparancy

I don't know how to make brushes transparent, I'm trying to make viewing windows but I can't due to previously stated resons.

either use a glass texture, or a no-draw texture.


Search either of those in the texture browser.

You can also tie it to a func_wall, change the render mode and FX amount for the whole brush to be transparent, no matter what the texture. But of course if you use a glass texture, you won't have to do any of that.
