Help with particle effects

hello to you all. I'm still rather new to using Hammer and am having issues with the particle effects. Simply in actually adding them to my map >.<

I've used Google to search for tutorials on this and checked youtube for tutorials but can never find an actual answer on how to do this.

Its actually quite simple. Get the entity "info_particle_system" into your map (just place it where you want the particle to originate), and then in the particle name, put in one of these http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/List_of_TF2_Particles

you may want to check out the rest of the wiki, it tells you about all sorts of stuff.
