    Hey all.

    Names Beck (a.k.a Ren182) and I'm from the UK. Currently studying Computer Games Design at Staffordshire University.

    Heres a video of my first TF2 map which I made just over a year ago. (Damn time flies!) Haven't had chance to make another map since but am currently working on a Payload map.

    (I'm aware the cubemaps aren't working in the video. They worked on everyone elses computers apart from my own personal computer. Also a few textures are model textures, they've been fixed since.)

    Anyway. Hope to be showing my map off here at somepoint :)

    Welcome to TF2Maps :)

    Your map looks really nice for a first map, especially the skybox, you could only put a bit more details on the walls and so i think. A func_nobuild within a normal room is kinda no-go for a map, but thats just my opinion, dunno what others think about this. But its always better if you try to design your map so, that there just are no overpowered sentry-positions, maybe by adding some more cover or so.

    Fell free to post your map in the [ame="http://forums.tf2maps.net/forumdisplay.php?f=44"]map database[/ame] and have a [ame="http://forums.tf2maps.net/forumdisplay.php?f=35"]playtests[/ame] for more feedback ;)

    Hey,

    Thanks for the feedback.

    The func_nobuild was really a quickfix for the overpowered sentries I got in playtests at university. The map was for a module on my university course and just to get a few extra marks I just went for the nobuild to show I thought about balance. Due to time restraints I didn't have to build anything else etc.

    Glad you liked the look of it though :) May post it, not sure if I really like it anymore. Suppose I could get some good feedback and fix it up worthy for a full release.

    Decided I might as well post it. :)
