The sky is purple.
Deal with it.
No really, deal with it.
looks neat. for some reason i think it will play very well for ctf.
oh my fucking god! welcome back chrono!
I thought you got murdered or something
It took several months to reconstruct the vital organ tissues damaged when Matt stabbed me in the back.
It looks a bit overscaled to me :/
Hey, I can jump from the blue side of the map and land on the red intel.
It's not easy but sure is possible: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1281220/harmony_jump2.dem
Less cool, but also viable: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1281220/harmony_jump.dem
Now with sticky jumper: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1281220/harmony_jump3.dem blue spawn -> land on red intel.
demo 1 and 2 can be done with the regular sticky launcher.
I guess I forgot that valve made the sticky jumper... huh.
edit: Now with 20% more cave!
You could make the middle indoors?
I'm still working on this? What? This can't be right...
What in the name of Saxton Hale.... Are those big ass crystals I see there? Not sure what you're going for here, but i like it.
I like the home bases for each team just for the cool geometry, but the middle looks pretty linear. Also, it looks like you've got some unused space around those nice home bases. Also, welcome back
Too cool for alpha 3
Optionally: Am I pumping out alphas faster than Icarus yet?
the purpleness looks like it will make players' eyes bleed after 10 mins max
If you knew anything about color theory in general, you would probably retract that statement.
EDIT: Those still in doubt check the original post for a nice diagram.
color theory can go fuck itself
people have complained about egypt maps being too yellow
people have complained about mojave being too red
tell me why should they not complain about this map being too purple?
Because red and yellow are inferior to purple
Also; the theme is interesting, but I don't know how I feel about the mining boulders right next to a throne and planetary model/thingy. But clearly it is still in development soooooo yes.
Because unlike red and yellow, colors like blue and purple are not very intense.
No one complains a map is too blue, even though every map you've probably made uses a blue ambient color.
any rocks I use will most likely be replaced with a custom crystal model for it, its just easier to plop it in for now.
Personally I feel the issue with colored light is how much it tints the player models. Plop some of those in and then we can see if it is actually too purple.
