Hammer Won't Open from Bin!

Whenever I open hammer from Source SDK, I get the error, "Failed to load the default scheme file. The map views may be missing some visual elements." I heard that to fix this, I must open hammer from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\bin". I try this, and the main screen that says hammer and the interface opens for a split second then closes. The SDK is the only way I've been able to open hammer. If someone could help me in opening it from the TF2 bin files, that would be greatly appreciated.

Run the hammer.bat in the bin dir, not the exe.

When I run the Hammer.bat, it opens for a split second then immediately closes. Is this normal?

No, verify integrity of game cache and start the game once. Then try again for the bat.

I've done this, and the bat continues to close immediately. When I did verify the game cache, it said all the files were validated, as in there were no incorrect/missing files.
