Hammer with friends?

So my friend just asked me on skype if it's possible to edit make/edit a map at the same time on 2 computers. I think he meant like live file sharing. If that isn't possible what's the best way to send a map file to a friend/colleague?

No two people can't work on the same map at the same time in a live collab. The best you can do is use a service like Dropbox to share files with each other, and organize among yourselves who will work on the map and when.

the only wall I've really had with collabing is bad communication.
If he is friend, I would recommend using voice chat. And if not, be sure to use very well phrased messages to make sure nothing is lost in translation.
