Hammer units

Hi, I just wanted to know how many hammer units I use. I've seen mappers saying That they use 16 hammer units, but how do they know. Can someone tell me how to tell how many units you are using. (I'm using the dotted grid)

Bottom right corner of your screen when you have a map open in Hammer will tell you what size your grid is on. You can use the left and right bracket keys ([ and ]) to lower and raise the grid scale. For alphas I would stick to the 32 or 64 grid for most of your brushwork and then you can lower the grid when you're doing ore detail-oriented things in later alphas or betas.
