Hey guys, it's my first post here, and though I'm quite sure this is the correct place to make this thread, please direct to the correct area to post this.

I need help on a problem that just started very recently. I haven't had this problem before, as all my previous maps were able to load swiftly. The problem is that whenever I create a map and I try to compile/run it, it says "Windows could not find the specified file", and the log indicates that the .bsp file is not being created by vbsp (I'm assuming). I've run up and down through the log thoroughly and posted the log on interlopers, and there are absolutely 0 errors in the map. I literally load up a map, instantly press F9, save, run it and it says it can't find the file. I seriously don't know what's going on, it's never done this before.

I've looked at other threads, but I'm having out of the box on steaming fresh maps with zero stuff in them.

    Help :bored:

I started a new map up and didn't build anything in it, and this is the result. I can create a simple map if need be, although I don't really see the need to.

the folder you keep your maps in is called "TF2 maps".

The space mugs up your map

I have started getting this error too, but I use the default save folder, that being "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\content\tf\mapsrc". As you might have noticed, there are 2 spaces in "Team Fortress 2" and up until last night, all my maps were compiling fine.

The issue however, remains. VBSP is not running so even when I try to rename my map and recompile, it just fails to find the map to load it in TF2. Is there any way to make VBSP work again?
