Hammer crashed and now no models!

    My hammer crashed recently and when i reloaded my map it has no models showing! ahhh please tell me it just hid them and not deleted them all! :O Anyone please help.

    Crashing shouldn't delete your models, unless you didn't save before it crashed (which I hope you did). Try backing up your .vmf's and reinstalling SDK.

    Check to make sure that details (props) are enabled in the auto visleafs section and that all your visleafs are enabled.

    If that doesnt work in hammer navigate to your HammerAutosaves directory (by default its C:\HammerAutosave) change the open filetype to VMF_AUTOSAVE. When it is, save as yourmapname.vmf

    If you mean you have no models at all I suggest you make sure your opening the right mod, checking to make sure your gameinfo.txt exists and that tf2 is updated.

    I just dont understand, the entire prop visgroup is gone its like they never existed, and i have tried to load a autosaved map file but to nothings working! help lol

    Have you tried clicking the top visgroup. That says "Auto" - Everything should disappear. Then click it again and everything should be enabled again. This will rule out whether it's a visgroup problem. (hopefully)

    I'm not really sure how else to help you if you've done what I and megawac recommended. I suggest starting over; it might take a while, but it shouldn't take longer than trying to find your previous saves.
