Half-life 1 maps?

    Hello!
    I didn't know where to ask this so please excuse me.
    How would I go about making maps for Half-Life 1?

    I found out that I need Hammer Editor 3.4.
    Downloaded it and did the setup using instead of the original compile tools the "zhlt34 tools".

    Again, I am extremely sorry but I don't know where to ask this and the community here is great and experienced.

    This is a community made alternative to hammer for goldsrc (hl1 engine) Might want to check it out, although I have not used it.

    By the way, does the current version of Half-Life 1 in Steam use the GoldSrc Engine?

    Yes it does.

    I could offer you more help but you left the compile window covered by the error message, so I can't actually see what the compile was trying to do.

    Recently a guy called q brick posted a map he stole based on sector c, quite an intresting map cp_silo-c_b5.
