Grinder - A koth map with a lethal pit around the point. This koth map has 3 differant ways to get to the point, and the point does have (a little bit of) high ground. However, the hill has a death pit filled with, you guessed it, grinders. there is a large ammopack under the hill, right next to the grinders, but your only hope of getting out is to be a soldier, demo, or scout. this map is yet to be playtested on an imp.
-Fixed clipping on mine cart on blu side -Made spawns closer to point -Added props + brushes to prevent snipers from being too powerful -Made it possible to exit pit with ammo box -enhanced lighting -decreased file size Read the rest of this update entry...
looking at the picture I still think the map is over scaled meaning the sand areas are way too big. I would try cutting those areas down so the map is smaller.
Actully, I find it pretty good for combat personally. When it it playtested again I will see what other people think.
To anybody that may be following this map for whatever reason; I will no longer be updating this map, due to many people shitting on me while I cant figure out how to fix their problems. I will most likely quit mapping altogether. I don't think it is worth my time if I spend months on a project I was very passionate about and releasing it only to find out that people hate it and my work was pointless. I have been mapping for around 10 months. I have made many different maps with different tactics and by joining tf2maps I thought I would improve and continue to make better maps. I was wrong. Thank you to everybody who gave CALM feedback on my map during the imp, and gave me feedback on improving it. I'm sorry that I was not able to fix the problems in your feedback. A third of people shat all over me and just told me this map is terrible and that I shouldn't work on it anymore. They could have at least said it in a way that was not rude. I would like to say to those people that I hope that they are proud that they just devoted a passionate mapper from even touching hammer again. I am sorry for spreading my filth on this site for 'pro' mappers. I am aware that this message is long and cringy. I don't even think that this was even worth writing, I doubt anybody will see it, or care, anyway. Good luck to any other mapper out there.
