So yea, recently got TF2 and dropped CS:S mapping for it because well...TF2 has more variety for maps I think. So in order to learn more about how to map specifically for TF2 I can guarantee you'll see me asking for help every now and then.

Edit: This is an example of a map i've started for TF2

I plan to try to make some custom textures for it aswell.

Welcome. first of all, in the 1st and 3rd picture, you are using a HL2 texture, which is a mortal sin among TF2 Mappers. :p You do seem to have some experience with hammer, which is good, unlike the noobs who we meet in the steam chat :p Best of luck from me.

    Thanks ^_^

And yea I know of the textures. I'm not familiar with TF2s vanilla textures so I kind of want to make my own since I can't find what I want from them.

Welcome. Easy to find the tf2 textures; type tf into the filter.

there's a slight problem with that, MangyCarface. Typing tf into the filter gives you loads of tf2 icons, not textures and the textures it does give appear to be Half Life textures.

TF as keywords, my bad. Filter is for nature, concrete, metal, wood, etc
