... the diameter of the Dustbowl rocket at the widest point. I'd like to use it in the map I'm building, but I'm still in the "Sketchup stage" and focusing on buildings and landmasses, but need to provide enough space around where it will sit.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    FINALLY another F2Per.

I don't think it's possible to get a diameter in Hammer. The rocket doesn't show for me.

If I measured correctly, the Dustbowl rocket is about 195.8 Hammer units in diameter.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I didn't know. You could do:

Get the origin of the rocket. Drag it towards one direction (Not the band) and drag the other end to the end of the model, boom.

    Indeed! *PA fistbump*

I tried to list you as a referrer when I registered, but it didn't recognize the [UEAK] from your PA handle. :blushing:

You just need to change the model render distance in the options tab. The default is half of its potential (5000 units, i think).

Sometimes the models can be a bit iffy in the 2d veiws, especially when looking directly into a cylinder or cone shape, so there might still be some visibility issues. But i believe there's an option to show the wireframe in the 2d views if that's what you mean. I've had it like that for so long i forget if that's a standard feature in Hammer (wireframe models in 2d views, that is).

Making a brush and checking its size? Are you sure you know what a diameter is?
