    Good for modeling?

It has full Source integration, so thats a bonus, but some does Softimage Mod tool. I have both (soft image was a free download from their site, and sketch up was a cheeky "paid for" download :D)

Which one would you recommend cause i need to make a custom model for a map im planning, so would need to use an easy to learn / decent modeling tool :D

    F33dbackz please :D

I have used both and XSI is DAMN AWFUL! don't use it. sketchup is ok but doesn't have as much control as you'd need for modelling, unless you happen to have a CAD drawing of it (that's what its designed for, 3d models of buildings from CAD drawings)... imo, Blender is the best free modeling software and you can get some decent plugins for it so it can export and import SMD (what you then compile into mdl, look [ame="http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=8971"]here[/ame]).

    • Thanks Thanks x 1

I don't know him but I must confess, I don't go on the servers as much as I'd like to. :blushing:
