Good Tutorials for Making Map?

I'm completely new to making maps in TF2 and I can't find a good start to get to the learning process. I have ideas, but I lack any skill at completing them, so can anyone put me in the right direction?

Once you're done with that read up anything else you want on the Valve developer wiki, then find other stuff like our tutorial base here and websites like interlopers

I learned by watching this playlist of video tutorials. Its very straightforward and gets you through the basics by making a very basic KotH map.
