Alright, so my boyfriend is a massive nerd and plays TF2 rather fervently. His birthday is in a few weeks and I'm pretty much at a loss of a birthday gift for him. I was considering making a sandvich cake or the cake in 'the cake is a spy' meme, but suggestions would be really awesome.
    Kthx.

I've no idea what dogbread is, mind sharing?
I'm more into Star Wars than I am TF2, TBH

Glad the cake idea is going over well though.

Edit: I'd rather make something than buy something. I'm not sure I could get his friends out of the house long enough to do physical activities. :/

Dogbread is what everyone seems to have in their avatar.

About Star Wars: Disguise as Darth Vader and scare him :D

I'd agree with The Political Gamer, a Sandvich cake + a TF2 T-shirt would go down a treat!

*facepalm* literal name too literal for literalist. Somehow, I feel like PETA would find me if I tried making that.
Ah! Vader costumes are so damn expensive though. At least, the decent ones are.

I can't help but feel the need to point out that at the end of the day, he may be a nerd, but he's also just a guy like most other guys (personal history with standing). 50% of the developed country's population probably qualifies for the "nerd" status since it's not so much a sub-culture as it is simply being computer literate, or someone who owns and plays computer games regularly. Which again, qualifies for anyone who was born in the last 30-40 years and doesn't live under a rock.

I'm sure you know him better than we do, i'm just saying that the gift needn't revolve around TF2, or games.

nothing beats new mouse and/or keyboard....

You what I always need, but never want to buy? Those cable dress kits. Zip ties and velcro etc to keep all your cables behind the computer somewhat organized....

A good TF2 cake would be sweet.

If you really want to impress him, you could somehow secretly idle for him and get him some free drops while he isn't looking. That would be tough to pull off, might not be realistic...

Or you could always gift a game.

I don't know, time playing TF2 is a gift in itself.

    Also - BIRTHDAY SEX! YEEEES!

Just so you know, he probably wouldn't understand the point of getting anything based on dogbread. It's mostly a local meme.

grazr-I do appreciate your candor. But I can go ahead and say that he surpasses your average video game/computer-literate person. The last few gifts haven't been based on TF2 or games at all, so I figured I might as well hit that note now.

i was considering getting him a game, but honestly, I wouldn't know where to begin. The games he doesn't own, he borrows from me.

Muffin Man- yeah, I figured as much.
