It only appears on one side. Both RED and BLU can see it.

I was thinking at first that since Icarus made Vector, and Vector has those, and Icarus made these holograms that that was the issue. But it probably isn't because that'd been posted about and I can't really find anything about this issue.

Vector uses a sprite for the cap blocking sign

In other news, what actually is your problem? You've not really explained A) what you're trying to achieve and B) what's happening, you only explained what you tried to fix it.

He told us in chat that he just want to get rid of the visualizer and doesn't know how it got there (I think).

Yea. When i ran through the map, I thought it was just a misplaced visualiser. when blue caps the first point, does it dissapear?

(He's trying to get rid of the visualizer on the point)

Not to be rude, but is there a reason I would post this other than to find out how to remove it? It doesn't really seem like the kind of thing one would show off. And if I said what I tried to do to fix it, wouldn't that imply it's a problem in the first place? Not only that, but I describe it as an issue twice, and issues are normally negative in terms of creating something.

Anyway, yes: I don't know how it got there and I don't know how to remove it.

It doesn't disappear when BLU caps, no.

Alright, so my guess, because its non-solid, and on the point. Could it be just a random displacement that you got? Did you copy over the gametype from the ABS Gametype library?

It is copied over, but modified slightly to the extent that the name is changed and that's it, I think. The only flag checked is to disable shadows.

I don't have any displacements in the entire map.

It wasn't clear if you wanted it there or not, or if you wanted it there some of the time or none of the time, or if you wanted it to be seen by one team only or if you wanted it to be visible on both sides or how you'd got it there (Things don't appear on their own)

Pointing at something and saying it's an issue doesn't tell us anything about what your issue is (for the above uncertainties)

I wasn't trying to be obtuse, I was trying to diagnose the problem so I could offer proper help.

Now that I know you don't want it there at all:

Swapping a model shouldn't have put it there unless it's in the model which would be shown by the model browser. If you haven't checked that, check there. (It might be some trickery in the model that isn't in it's mesh, so does it appear when you change the model back to a normal cap point?)

So what did you do when you made that point, are you using some kind of prefab? Boojum's? A decompiled map? From scratch?
My guess is that it's not the capture point at all and there is some other entity creating it, can't really suggest anything until you find what is causing it.

The CP is based on the one in Boojum's prefab pack. The name and hologram models were changed and otherwise that's really it.

    It's not in the model.

I changed the model and that fixed it, but then I changed it back and realized that whatever was outside of my cordon was causing it because it was still fixed.

I also checked my func_respawnroomvisualizers and they are all set correctly.

I don't really know what is going on.

And if you move the point to a different location it follows?

Actually, I just figured it out, and it's indirectly due to you.

I went through after that last post of mine and double checked the visualizers. They were all right. Then I started hiding them one at a time to compile the map over and over to make sure I wasn't being completely stupid (which is silly because that solution is completely stupid).

Anyway, I had just cloned a visualizer and it had no associated respawn room and so it decided to go to the cp hologram, I guess. I got rid of it, compiled with everything unhidden and there's no more visualizer! I guess I hadn't seen it because it was slightly behind the one that worked.

So uh thanks everyone that tried to help/did help.
