this "Compression format 0x0e not supported" shows up
Click 'open' and see what list of filetypes can be opened. Chances are it could be that you downloaded the older version which doesn't support newer file types, only files such as .GCFs.
I assume you're trying to open a bsp, GCFScape does not support bsps that have been repacked, and you'll have to unrepack them first before trying to pull anything from them.
im exporting vvd's, vtx's and mdi's
why can't you export props
doesn't unpack vvd's
Are you trying to open the VVD file or take it out of the BSP?
im tryna export props so if theres a better way
im pretty sure take it out
Did you unpack the BSP before trying to take the file out, as Startackers suggested?
Extract them from what? What is the type of Source file your trying to use?
bspsource says that there is no javaw files
exporting props from maps to hammer
i downloaded an already decompiled version of the map
the thing is im using gcfscape and it can't load vmf's
Vasya means that if the map VMF is available for download, you can probably also obtain the props in a download like it. If not, perhaps just ask the map creator where the props are from, etc
