So I was going along, working on my map when this happen. There are these weird visible brushes poking out in the map. They don't have any physics, and can't be interacted with but only be seen. I've checked in hammer, and there's nothing where the fake-brush is.

I need some help.

Thanks,
Pev

I had something similar a while ago. Never found any solution.
It might just be a copy the map over situation.

Yeah, one of these.... From what I can gather it's a result of vertex editing geometry. Best you can do is start hiding pieces of geometry and compiling to find which is the culprit. It may also help to press ALT+P it see if a brush is concave.

I thought compiles failed with invalid solid structures.

Figured it out. Made some wonky sideways stairs that hammer hated.
Literally straightened things out to fix it.

First thing in any case like this, you should just re-make the brush to avoid further complications.
