Func_detail and displacements...

    Quick question:

    Do you func_detail a displacement? Or turn an already existing func_detail into a displacement? Apparently, one of those is bad news, and I don't want to chance it by experimenting.

    You can't do either, but why would you want to? Displacements work much like func_details.

    OK then, never mind.


    For my CTF contest map, I was planning on tricky brushwork with displacements, but didn't want them cluttering up VVIS. But I guess that's a null issue now.

    displacements are always ignored by vvis (like func_detal) turning a displacements into a func_detail would crash the compile :p
