Full-bright custom overlays

    I have recently made a few custom overlays of stains and paint which are appearing full-bright in my map. I have checked the vmt files and there is nothing unusual, and have copied the vmt settings from other overlay files. I compile them with full lighting settings, and the origins of the overlays aren't inside any walls. And yet, they still appear full-bright. The only unusual aspect of these overlays is that they are very large, covering whole walls, and that the overlay touches the edges of its alloted space. Most if not all overlays I've seen are transparent at the edges, while mine touch the left and right edges and cover the bottom edge. but I see no reason why this should screw-up the lighting. Does anybody have any ideas or suggestions?
